Morpheus

The final entry. Here we are!
And the subject is “Normal People”. So, sound something peculiar and I really don’t understand this post. Personally, I don’t think that someone can say that have a perfect and common idea about this. So I will do the unique thing I know I can tell in this way: A tale.

One upon a time, a regular kid who lives the normal pleasure of life. Like kick the dust or drink a soda and eat cookies chocolate flavored.
Suddenly a ring bells. Is the end of the break. He starts to run at the second floor, where his teacher awaits in the door. Everyone sits in his chairs and an overrun silence hit the room.
So the miss says: “Good afternoon”. And the students reply at the unison: “Good afternoon Miss Helena”!
And the class begins with a cheerful predisposition. At the 5 o clock’ the bells ring again.
But are the last advice of the week, it’s Friday and the weekend starts.
Our kid runs to the lap of his mother. In the car he falls asleep. In the travel a heavy rains starts, a big tremble resonate in the sky.
In home (sweet home) a hot soup appears at his nose. Huffs and puffs constantly to decrease the warm water. The child is full of food (and love) and asks for permission to stand.
Before to go to the fields of fiddles and meet the maker of forms, he draw a landscape with crayons. Is the image of a castle, where a lake is surrounding the front and a dragon who is fliying and licking
the clouds like cotton candy.
Then, when its start to close his eyes, he believed to see sand fall
before their eyes.
And he close it until tomorrow…

Save the World!

I particularly learn about "Green" thoughts in the school, and the television also make some propaganda sometimes.
Curiously now in the university I happily see that there are colored thrash cans to separate the materials to recycle it.

Now my grandma is searching for some "Taps" (The little thing of the soda cans that are for open it) and ask to me to find it for her, so I started to see the floor a lot when I am around, and I took it from the grass or the cans that are dumped with it still.

I have a bike but I don't use it. Rarely I took from the dusty and dark corner in my yard.
The last time I use it was like three months, when I travel with my puppy to the veterinary for a medical check.
But I use my legs to walk whenever I can.
Like in the subway, the stairs are ignored always for the lazy users because they like the electric stairs, but if I don't have a hard day, it doesn't spend much time to put a leg and then another one.

When the "Hydroaysen" notice appear, I unite to Greenpeace just to support to the national web poll, but just that. Then I started to receive a lot of Hippie Spam from them and I burn my user to stop it.

I would like to support all the ideals that are in the side of preservation, and I think that a Strike or be a Psycho Activist are not the only options.

To make a low Carbon Footprint I decide to stop breathing...
Ok, I prefer to use the subway or walk if I travel in Downtown, drop the trash in the trash cans, turn off the lights and pull off the plugs when I'm not using it.
The same to the water that I use to drink or wash.

We need more empathy for the next generations and take care for the energy that we use.
This things just take a minute in your life.

Three laws for the Men. Three laws for the Robots.

The worlds is going to end, they say, but the Future that was imaginated previously to his thoughts is far to end.

I can say without fear that I'm a Science-Fiction Fan. I like everything that represent Dreams and Imaginary in Literature or Films, and this genre is not an exception.
Sci-Fi is Cool, a response from a curious humanity. Probably a highly overrated phenomena sometimes, but with a strong force with numerous pawns on it.

I can barely remember my first Sci-Fi reading, but was similar to "The War of the Worlds" by H.G. Wells and I read it in the school. The difference was that the human slaves had metal plaques behind his heads, and the power of alien control was on it.
But the truth is, before that book, I was reading the fictions that the comics books offers, like Spawn. And yes, Superhero Fiction or Comic Sci-Fi are a derivation subgenre of Sci-Fi.
The first movie that I saw in this under theme was obviously Stars Wars Original Trilogy. Always in the cinema, a familiar trip with my dad and my older sister in that days.

The best that I already read in this universe is the Cosmic Horror Sci-Fi thing of the master H.P. Lovecraft (I ignored my fanaticism to Neil Gaiman work, just to not be too obvious) like "At the Mountain of Madness" which is a kick ass tale.
I hope one day I can read all the Isaac Asimov books, who is considered the father of Robots for his laws.

And also in this genre, there are cheesy things to my opinion like the intent of "B" film of Tim Burton, called "Mars Attacks!". Is a lazy script with boring humour in the abrupt aesthetic of his director. And piss me off that is a cult film for some people.

Voila! A great concept that I don't look like it's going to over soon I think...

Interactive Leonardo da Vinci!

In the National Gallery’s located in Milan (Italy) there is the opportunity to meet in a marvelous way the mysterious drawing of the master legend Leonardo di ser Piero da Vinci.
And what way is that? What make it so mysterious? Well, in this case is an Interactive Guide for visitors in a blockbuster’s show.

Jonathan Jones and the Guardian Interactive Team (are also art critics) visit the meticulous and exhaustive drawings of the respected myth.
Some of the drawings of the Renaissance in the exhibition are the “Studies of Male Figures and a Hygrometer, Studies of a Mother and Child” and “Studies of Madonna and machinery (1499-1500).

Considered like a transition from “grotesque caricatures to sublimes nudes”, Jonathan Jones said:
-“Here, we examine a sketch which shows a Hygrometer, alongside a group of men talking animatedly, as well as the figure of Christ and a study of an archer. Once again, Leonardo moves fluidly from art to science as he contemplates real life around him in preparation for his major paintings”.

Making also an audio analysis online, the crew describes us this interactive look to Leonardo, which exposition will be running every week until finishes in February of this year.

Nobody's home, I'm alone ♪...

He he he, I think is a polemic topic and for that it is interesting.
People have a lot of taboos and surprise me for the fact of our actual centuries and stuff...

In the case of drugs, personally I don't drink, and I don't smoke. I am an abstemious.
The taste of alcohol freaking dislike me, but I never ever taste a cigarette and I never ever will.
Porno is something heavier, because you cannot fight the porn, is an Internet rule: The 34th Rule (If an Object can be Conjectured, there is Porn made of it. If not, then Porn will be made of it as soon as someone hears what you are looking for). It's something very creepy, but true.

Maybe the porn actors felt before, but then they become insensitive and do it all mechanical :C
I think sex is a strong emotion that comes with desire and love in each hand walking (Or running).
But the drugs theme is complex. I think if its legal, will happen the same as Netherlands: First it will be awesome and a touristic attraction and everything, but with the pass of the years the foreigners will gonna buy just to sell in his own country and in that precisely moment that we are in "Drug Traffic".
Actually in Netherlands, to the end of 2012, the drugs are not gonna be available in nowhere. Even in the coffee shops, because that madness.

And the Child Pornography is sick ass f*ck. No one with consciousness will should think that is a good idea make it legal. But exist, and again, is a sadly sadly true.

I found a perfect "live" song to show with this theme. Maybe the lyric is kind weird, but it is "Mr. Bungle" (Mike Patton -lead singer of Faith No More- as vocalist) and they are all weird. Enjoy this Bootleg video.

The Mystical Nessie Crib

I have a problem.
All my life I wanted to travel to any Nordic Countries (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden) because I liked too much the Nordic Mythology. And still.
But although, there's no much that I know about them (Just the fact of the Giant Stones in the middle of his forest, according to the Mythology, are Trolls and Ogres who cannot scape to the sun light and they get petrified forever)...Whatever...

Well. It is Difficult to me, but if I need to Choose, I will Choose to do a Trip to Marvellous Scotland. Land of the Manly Skirt called "Kilt" and home of the "Loch Ness Monster".
Why Scotland? If I search a similar appreciation of the Viking race in me, the Celtic culture and Mythology comes next.

In this magic Kingdom, the landscapes are sick, full of green and beautiful lakes.
And there are always better with the melodic Bagpipe (The traditional one called "Great Highland Bagpipe"), a musical woodwind instrument with a windbag made with Goat skin. Essential for his ethnical folk and classical music.
Is very easy to find in contemporaneous and popular music. Like Rock or variants:

The people usually confuse them with the Irish. They are just neighbours, like his British partners (Or enemies sometimes). The Scottish or Irish stereotype in cartoons is an angry midget who wants to fight for everything.
(This is the Irish Version).

And his literature is full of Classical authors like Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (Stories of Sherlock Holmes) and Robert Louis Stevenson (Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde). Lately famous for his Mezzo-Soprano singer Susan Boyle.

When I hit the Scottish floor, the first "to do" in my list is use a Kilt and feel the wind in my legs. Next is travel to all the historical places like churchs, cemeterys (Famous for his Celtic Cross), castles and finally the Loch Ness like to search for the cryptozoological Nessie (If I don't see it, i will buy some fluffy Merchandising).
And maybe, just maybe, I will taste the traditional food Haggis (A dish that containing sheep's 'pluck' (Like heart) minced with onion and stuffs).

I really don't think to stay more than a month or something, I don't know. Maybe learn some things before to comeback. If I get bored, always I can walk to Great Britain.

Ok, right now I let you with a funny folk song, that I like very much. Is sing in Gaelic, the original Scottish-Irish language by "The Rubberbandits" (Dudes with plastic bags in his heads):

Doug TenNapel, a Creative Genius

When i was younger, after a Christmass, "Santa" gave me a present that i could never forget.
It was my second Video game console, a PlaystationOne.
And since i used it like hell every day, playing and finishing games (and also learning english) there was one in particular that made a difference.
A plataform game called "Skullmonkeys".

The special thing about this game is that the entire development of it is in Claymotion (Stopmotion with Clay). So when i grew up and started to miss that game and his originality, i started to search.

My surprise was that the Animator did many other sick games that crushed my little mind. Earthworm Jim Saga!. So the love was born and i began to Download material of his Treasures, like the prologue of "Skullmonkeys", "The Neverhood"! Also made in full Claymotion with an awesome hystory and in a Graphic Adventure style.

So my man is Doug TenNapel. He is an Animator, Musician, Artist and Author.
Better know for creating Videogames, Cartoon Series, Toy Lines and Ilustrated Tales and Graphic Novels.
Wishing to be in a time as Cool as he, making Creative stuff and a Solid and Powerfull Imaginarium.

So, I hope, in a day, a boy or girl that see/read/play/listen my work, feels the same as I.
